Students may join from the Rabbit Class in the April following their 3rd or 4th birthday.
The aim of this class is to immerse the child in a completely English Preschool environment for half the day, five days a week. Even children who are just starting to learn English adapt within a few months to an all-English life, as if they were attending school in a foreign country. In preparation for Giraffe class, reading skills, are also developed. After attending the Monkey Class for 2 years, students advance to the Giraffe Class.

- Staff: 1 native English speaking teacher and 1 Japanese caretaker
- Maximum 12 students (only six spots open for new students)
- Lunch is provided three times a week, other days children bring lunch from home.
- Extended daycare hours available.
- Trips to the Pool in Summer.(Community Center)
- Western-style, parent-planned birthday parties for children.
- The entire class is conducted in English. However, to calm the children, sometimes the Japanese staff will speak to the children outside of class in Japanese.

| After checking roll, the kids answer questions concerning their daily life. |
| 10:35-11:05 Playing outside/Outdoor activities |
| The kids leave the school to play in a local park. Upon returning to school, the kids enjoy a glass of fruit juice. |
| 11:15-11:45 Study time |
| A lesson is conducted with flash cards and games. Each month, new vocabulary centered on a theme is introduced. Children role-play to use their newly acquired vocabulary. Children also learn to listen attentively to the teacher, and wait for their turn while their friends are talking. |
| 11:45-12:00 Music time |
| Children sing traditional songs from Europe or America or a seasonal song. Children are also guided in learning rhythm and pronunciation, which helps them learn to English. |
| 12:00-13:00 Lunch time |
| Children sit down to a nice lunch with the teachers. Three days a week, children eat a school boxed lunch, and learn to try foods that they don’t like. |
| 13:00-13:40 Free Play・Snack time |
| Children choose their own activity and play freely in English for a little free time. (craft・clay・playing house・painting, etc) |
| 13:40-14:00 Video time |
| The latest and greatest kids’ TV programs from overseas. |
| 14:00-14:10 Phonics time |
| Kids learn big and small letters、and the basic phonics through flashcards. |
| 14:10-14:20 Story time |
| Children pick a story, and read it together with the teacher. Kids also begin reading the Oxford Reading Tree series. |
| 14:20-14:30 Pick up time |
| Children begin cleaning up, and sit with the teacher for a goodbye meeting. The day’s activities are reviewed by the children. |
